Today i will teach you guys how to change flat tires, instructions by Bridgestone Tires.
Everyone in they're once in a lifetime will get deflated or flat tires. Knowing how to change a tire is a necessary skill for all drivers. Flat tires can happen at anywhere and anytime. If you rely on your phone, there's always a chance that you might forget to charge it, out of range and leave it at home.
Items that should come along with your vehicle everytime;
- Jack
- Lug wrench
- Fully inflated spare tire
- Vehicle owner's manual
Some items that don't come along with your vehicle but you should stow in your trunk;
- Flashlight with working batteries
- Rain poncho
- small cut of 2"x6" wood to secure the jack
- Gloves
- Wheel wedges
Lets get start!
- Find a safe location to change your tires.
- Turn on your hazard lights
- Apply the parking brakes
- Apply the wheel wedges
- Remove the hubcap or wheel cover
- Using the lug wrench, loosen the lug nuts counterclockwise
- Place the jack under the vehicle
- Raise the vehicle with the jack
- Unscrew the loosen lug nuts
- Remove the flat tire
- Mount the spare tire on the lug bolts
- Tighten lug nuts by hand
- Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts using the lug wrench
- Replace the hubcap
- Stow all equipment and check the pressure in the spare tire
- Bring your flat tires to technician
